Eight Union biathletes travelled through to Port Elizabeth on Wednesday,1O October to participate in the 3rd league event for the season. This outing saw us welcoming another 3 newcomers to the team and we want to congratulate Jade Shires, James Potgieter and Brent Hesselink on a fine start to their season.
The regulars have shown some significant improvements in their performances over the season already. Drew Dobinson and Jenna McNaughton did especially well on their run-times, while Hannah Bodenstein, Kendall Krige, Megan Doyle and Jade Shires posted some very competitive swim-times.
We await the provincial selections to be announced next week for the upcoming Interprovincial event.
