The Senior Art Club gets together once a week for a session of quiet, creative contemplation.
During this time they delve into various artistic activities and are taught basic practices regarding the use of tone, colour, texture, form, line, perspective and composition.
They are given access to materials such as acrylic paint, board, charcoal and pastel, which allows for much creative expression.
Art Club is useful for those learners who might be interested in pursuing post school careers in the creative fields, and these learners are guided in the senior phases if they have to complete portfolios for access to courses such as Fine Art, Graphic Design or Architecture.
Art Club members assist with school projects such as murals and backdrops and generally take the approach that with a little creativity, we can make the world a better place!
