Triathlon and Founders Day

The Prep School decided to do things differently this year and we held our ‘child friendly’ race in the morning from 8:00 – 10:00.  96% of our learners took part and we managed to raise a substantial amount of money towards the Astro Turf fund.  It was a morning of great competition and sportsmanship with teams cheering each other on.  A very big thank you to all the parents and friends of Union Prep that helped make this a success.  After the High School Assembly, the learners enjoyed a fun morning of rides and slides.  It was a most memorable day.

Inter-House Athletics

On Thursday 19 January we held our annual athletics meeting.  In adverse weather conditions the learners tried their very best and a good time was had by all.

Daly proved too strong for Arnott this year and they won the inter-house athletics trophy.  We would like to once again thank the many parents that were involved in officiating.  We cannot have these fun events without your help.

First day at school

With experienced Grade 1 teachers, the first day of school for our new Grade 1 learners went off very smoothly.  At the end of the day, exhausted but exhilarated the Grade 1’s had this to say…

“My dad is waiting at the gate for me.” – Zeeq Jacobs

“I must get home to do my homework.” – Shazia Ahmed

“I can’t wait for my first hostel lunch.” – Alison Kroon

“I’ve got blisters on my feet.” – Rachael Houseman

“My brother is only coming home later.” – Jude Langmead
