Well Done, Angelique – SA Regional Level 2 Gala

Well done to Union High School Grade 7 learner, 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗞𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮-𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘇𝗮, who participated at the 2025 South African Regional Level 2 Age Group Championships in East London, held from 28 to 30 March.

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱𝘴 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘸𝘪𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘈𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘦 𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:

• Gold Medals in the 100m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke and 50m Freestyle;

• 5th place in the 200m Individual Medley with an impressive 8.20-second personal best;

• Qualified 6th for the 200m Freestyle and finished 3rd in the final, improving her personal best by 5.32 seconds;

• Bronze in the 100m Backstroke and;

• Eighth place in the 100m Breaststroke.

𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘴 𝘥𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘳 200𝘮 𝘉𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦 𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦, 𝘈𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘣𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘎𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 50𝘮 𝘍𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘺𝘭𝘦.

This season has been remarkable for Angelique and we are immensely proud of her achievements. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗲!

U/16 Rugby, Westering Festival – Results

Union High School’s u/16A rugby team enjoyed a successful 𝗪𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗢-𝗘𝗗 𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟 this past weekend.

The event, hosted in Gqeberha, saw the boys triumphing over Alexander Road with a score of 29-5 and following it up with a solid 22-5 win against DF Malherbe.

𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘢𝘤𝘩, 𝘔𝘳 𝘏𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘰 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘶𝘴, 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦!
