Junior School SCA

SCA for Grades 5, 6 and 7s was recently renamed, "God's Garden". Committed Bible believers meet on Thursdays in Ms Street's classroom from 16:00 to 17:00. These lessons may include prayer, Bible reading, discussions and activities. It is a safe space which provides Biblical answers to some of life's difficult questions and a time for us to study God's Word together.

Senior SCA

Our Senior SCA is a platform for our students to embrace their faith and make a meaningful difference in the world. By gathering every Monday evening from Grade 8 to Matric, we aim to instil a sense of purpose and encourage our youth to lead by example. We firmly believe that our students have the power to influence their surroundings positively, and we are committed to supporting them in their journey.

Prayer Group (Not exclusive to SCA students)

In addition to our weekly meetings, we have a prayer time at school every week during the second break. Once every term, we dedicate an entire week to prayer. During these meetings, we encourage students to share their testimonies. We aim to support our students in their spiritual growth, which means we allow them to lead their own meetings during breaks, and to minister at school assemblies on Monday and Friday mornings when the opportunity arises.

As the opportunity presents itself, SCA organises “outside” speakers to address our learners.

Christian Group Activities

Various denominations organise youth group activities during the term.

Elevate – every Friday night at Freedom Church (grades 8 – 12)

The Alpha Course is held annually for senior pupils.

Boarders attend the church of their choice on Sunday mornings. One evening a week is made available for confirmation, homegroups groups and catechism classes.

A Moms-in-Touch prayer group meets every Monday morning at 7.15 in the Tony Burrell Union.

Pupils meet for prayer every Thursday at second break.

Contact details for the various churches are available from the SCA teachers in charge.
