As you step through the Bruce Maree Gates and into Union High School you are now greeted by something new – and profoundly meaningful.
An elegant cast iron signpost stands proudly at the entrance, its directional fingers not pointing to places, but to principles: 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆. 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘆.
This is more than just a beautiful addition to our campus – 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻. Each word has been carefully chosen, representing the ideals we strive to live by, both in and out of the classroom.
At Union, we believe education extends far beyond academics. It is about shaping character, fostering compassion and instilling a strong moral compass that will serve our learners for a lifetime. Whether you are a learner starting your first day, a parent dropping off your child, or an Old Unionite returning to familiar ground, 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱, reminding us all that true success is built on a foundation of character.
