Rugby vs Graeme College – Results

On Saturday the Union Schools’ rugby players traveled to Makhanda for their annual derby against Graeme College.

1st Team Report
Our last fixture for the 2nd term was against our arch rivals Graeme College from Makhanda, as to be excepted it was a tough task at hand. The match started off by both teams taking the opportunity to put points on the board,  Union through a penalty kick and Graeme through a converted try. It was a tough physical battle in the 1st half which Union dominated but couldn’t put the points on the board. We went into half time trailing by 26-10. Graeme could only manage to score one more try in the second half and Union couldn’t manage to put more points on the board. Lack of discipline and not taking our chances led to Union not being able to score more points. Graeme won the game by 31-10.
