Students Christian Associations
Junior School SCA

SCA for Grades 5, 6 and 7s was recently renamed, “God’s Garden”. Committed Bible believers meet on Thursdays in Ms Street’s classroom from 16:00 to 17:00. These lessons may include prayer, Bible reading, discussions and activities. It is a safe space which provides Biblical answers to some of life’s difficult questions and a time for us to study God’s Word together.

Senior SCA
Senior SCA includes all learners from Grade 8 to Matric. We meet weekly on Tuesday evenings from 18:15 to about 19:30. We believe it is imperative that our young people live out their faith in their everyday world and help to influence their world positively.

Besides the weekly meeting, we also pray at school during second break once a week and every term allocate a full week to such prayer times. Opportunity is given for testimonies to be shared at such meetings. We support the learners in their spiritual growth and are encouraged to have learners leading meetings at break on their own and also ministering at school assemblies on Monday and Friday mornings when those opportunities are opened for them.

As the opportunity presents itself, SCA organises “outside” speakers to address our learners.

As a school outreach we support the local CMR (Graaff-Reinet) in the form of a Generosity Project – money is collected by all classes on a monthly basis and this contribution goes a long way to support vulnerable children in our area.

Learners are also afforded the opportunity to visit the local hospital to pray for the patients and to distribute small gifts.  Furthermore we encourage our learners to support local Christian Innitiatives
organised by local churches.

Christian Group Activities
“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love”.  Psalm 103:8

We support the Faith for Daily Living Foundation and are pleased to report that many of our learners make use of this daily devotional which is provided free of charge by this organisation. Learners also encouraged to share their faith during class devotions in the mornings as well as at formal assemblies.

Various denominations organise youth group activities during the term.
