Earlier today, Thursday, 16 September, members of the Cape Town Opera Company (CTO) surprised the unsuspecting learners of Union High School with a short performance.
The musical trio, consisting of Louisa Theart on the flute, Frances Brand on the clarinet and Jeremy Silver on piano, are part of the Judith Neilson Cape Town Opera National Tour staging the much-loved opera ๐๐ข ๐๐ฐ๐ฉรจ๐ฎ๐ฆ in Graaff-Reinet this week.
During their visit to Union, the musicians played a beautiful selection of music, to the delight of all the learners present.ย The learners were also presented with the opportunity of conversing with the musicians afterward, which many were eager to do.
โข Union High School extends its grateful thanks to these musicians for their impromptu visit. It was much appreciated by all those privileged enough to be able to watch.
