Gr 11 Learners Visit Local Water Purification Plant

Union High School, Graaff-Reinet’s Grade 11 Geography learners recently had the opportunity to visit the local water purification plant and pump station as part of their curriculum.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗮 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀.

During the visit, learners were given a comprehensive tour of the facilities, where they observed the various stages of water purification and the mechanisms involved in pumping water to the community.
