Welcome Back Zoë & Brett

We couldn’t have been more thrilled to welcome Grade 7 learners Zoë Mills and Brett Kenmuir back to school today!

Zoë and Brett spent the past term at the Salisbury Cathedral School in the UK as part of the two schools’ annual exchange programme and from all accounts, it has been an incredible term for them!

The team triumphed over Pretoria’s Anton van Wouw’s u/12A side with an impressive 5-0 victory in their first match.

Their next match against Schweizer-Reneke (which they lost 1-7), may not have ended in their favour, but their resilience and never-give-up attitude for the rest of the tournament were truly commendable and resulted in them securing victories in all of their remaining matches.

They triumphed over Oranje Primary School’s u/12A’s with a hard-fought 1-0 win, showcasing their ability to excel under pressure. The girls continued to dominate the field, securing a convincing 4-0 victory against ECHS JD, a 2-0 win against Oranje Primary School’s u/13B’s, and another well-deserved 4-0 victory against Lumiere Primary School.

The girls also enjoyed several coaching sessions conducted by the ECHS coaches throughout the weekend, which provided valuable insights, correct technique, and personalized feedback, helping players refine their skills and improve their overall game.
