This week, Union High School, Graaff-Reinet had the privilege of hosting Nicolas Tisdale, an ex-professional rugby player turned dedicated and driven professional rugby coach.
𝙏𝙞𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙡𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩, 𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙖 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙤𝙛 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙧.
With a background spanning all levels of age group and adult rugby through clubs, schools and professional sports clubs, he has a proven track record of success. His expertise has helped nurture professional players, achieve league promotions and facilitate schools in succeeding at national competitions both in the UK and in South Africa.
𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆, 𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴:

• Scottish Exiles coach and regional manager for the Scottish RFU
• Coaching consultant for various South African schools such as St Stithians College and Michaelhouse School
• Elite Player Development Coach at Worcester Warriors RFC / Midland West Academy

Throughout his week at Union, 𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. His guidance was instrumental in enhancing the skills and understanding of the young athletes, who greatly appreciated the opportunity to learn from such a distinguished professional.
