Congratulations to ๐๐ถ๐๐ผ ๐ฆ๐ผ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ (Grade 8 ), ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฒ๐ด๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ถ๐ฑ (Grade 9), ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ๐๐น๐ (Grade 10), and ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฒ๐น๐ฑ (Grade 11) on their successful participation in the 2023 SASMT Annual Music Competition.
On Friday, 18 August, Liso, Taegen and Erin participated in the High School Music Grade 5 to 7 categories. Liso performed “Bagatelle No. 25 in A minor, WoO 59” (also known as “Fรผr Elise”) by L. van Beethoven. Taegen played “Andante” from “Pieces de clavecin, Op. 1” by J.H. Fiocco, and Erin showcased her talent with “Allegro” from “Sonatina in C major, Op. 20” by F. Kuhlau. ๐๐ณ ๐๐ณ๐ฏ๐ข ๐๐ญ๐ฐ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฆ ๐ซ๐ถ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ด๐ฆ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฆ ๐ฑ๐ช๐ข๐ฏ๐ช๐ด๐ต๐ด.
Joy, on the other hand, participated on Saturday, 19 August, in the High School Music Grade 8 and up category, where she performed “Liebenstraum Nocture No. 3 in Ab major” by F. Liszt. ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ข๐ฅ๐ซ๐ถ๐ฅ๐ช๐ค๐ข๐ต๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ ๐ธ๐ข๐ด ๐๐ณ ๐๐ฐ๐ฃ๐ถ๐ด ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ด.
This musical weekend has enriched the experience and deepened the understanding of music for all four students.
