CMC Athletics Meet

Several Union High School learners represented the school at the CMC athletics meet hosted by Hoër Volkskool today, Saturday, 7 February.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁, they persevered admirably and were rewarded with a number of Top 3 placings across various events.

𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵, 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳.

Union’s athletes put forth a stellar effort and the following learners received first places:

• Samantha Musakasa, High Jump Girls u14
• Qhama Solomon, Long Jump and High Jump, Boys u17
• Noel Shakane, Long Jump, Boys u14

Union received varius podium places:  four 1^st places, 10 2^nd places and 10 3^rd places.

The following learners were selected to represent the Graaff-Reinet CMC at the Sarah Baartman Meeting in Gqeberha on Tuesday, 17 February:
