Goals For Good: Derek Light Attorneys

The response from our community to Union High Schoolt’s 1st hockey team’s 𝗚𝗢𝗔𝗟𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 campaign has been truly heartening.

Over the next few weeks we will be shining a spotlight on the local businesses who have stepped forward to support this special initiative. 𝘉𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦 – 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘯𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦.

We are proud to begin this series by acknowledging 𝗗𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗸 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆𝘀, 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 & 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀. The firm, formally established in January 1994, has – for more than three decades – been a trusted and respected part of the Graaff-Reinet community. Union is especially honoured by this long-standing connection, as both founder Derek Light and Moira Light (née Kingwill) are proud Old Unionites.

Throughout the years, their firm has served the people of Graaff-Reinet with dedication and integrity, quietly contributing to the strength and wellbeing of the town they call home. 𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵.

Through their Goals for Good pledge, Derek Light Attorneys have chosen to support Clean Trade, a registered Public Benefit Organisation founded by Graaff-Reinet locals Elaine Stanley and Tia-Mari Jacobs. Clean Trade is doing vital work in our community by addressing environmental pollution while also helping to combat hunger 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲. Graaff-Reinet has always been a town that rallies behind its own and partnerships like this remind us just how special that spirit is.
