Athletics takes place during the 1st and 4th terms. Our first meeting, Sports Day, is held early in the year to identify and encourage potential athletes. This is a colourful event of rivalry between the two houses, Arnott and Daly.
The athletics team trains in the summer under the watchful eye of the coaches. Youngsters who perform well, will take part in the Graaff-Reinet CMC meeting and can then be invited to take part in the inter-regional meeting in Gqeberha to be selected for the Sarah Baartman team. The final round of trials is for the selection of a team to represent the Eastern Province at the National Inter Provincial meeting held each year.
