Exciting Developments Underway At Union

Union High School, Graaff-Reinet is buzzing with anticipation as several exciting construction projects are currently underway – from modernizing classrooms to improving facilities for essential services, the school is investing in its infrastructure to better serve its learners and staff.

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, where the old Book Room is undergoing a complete overhaul. This once humble space is being completely gutted and reimagined as a state-of-the-art mathematics classroom – equipped with the latest technology and designed to foster collaborative learning, 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴.

This dedicated space will not only serve as a hub for first aiders to administer care on derby days, but also provide a tranquil environment for individuals in need of assistance during sports encounters.

• Recognizing the invaluable contributions of its ground staff, Union is also embarking on the construction of 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺. This space will offer a welcome retreat for the dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to maintain the school grounds – complete with modern amenities and comfortable furnishings, the break room will provide a well-deserved respite for these valued members of the school community.
