On Sunday, 18 January, Union High School, learner Gerda Clarke took on challenging conditions at the 𝗡𝗠𝗕𝗔 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 at Marina Martinique, Jeffreys Bay.
Swimming a demanding 3km race, Gerda placed third in the 16-18 age category, finishing with an impressive time of 55:58.
