Last week, Union High School had the pleasure of hosting the Department of Water and Sanitation‘s 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 public speaking competition.
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘧𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘩 𝘉𝘢𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘵, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳-𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘴.
We are proud of our Union team – 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗸𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝘄𝘂𝗹𝗮, 𝗔𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗺𝘀 and 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗺𝘀 – whose preparation and confidence were evident throughout the competition. Konke secured 1st place, Abigail 2nd place and Antonia 3rd place, giving Union a clean sweep of the top three positions.
𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗕𝗮𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 at the provincial public speaking competition in King William’s Town on 24 July.
