Union High Schoolโs senior rugby players travelled to Komani for a much-anticipated clash against Hangklip High School this past Saturday.

After several missed chances, Liso Booi finally broke the deadlock with a well-earned try, confidently converted by Makukhanye de Beer, who remained flawless with the boot all game.
Hangklip quickly answered back, taking advantage of Union’s struggles to secure restarts. De Beer responded with a try of his own, only for Hangklip to once again bounce back.

Union extended the lead after the break with a try from Xavier Barlow – again converted by the reliable De Beer – to make it 28-12. But ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ด๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ธ ๐ฎ ๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฐ ๐๐๐ฟ๐ป ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ๐ as Hangklip clawed their way back with three unanswered tries, ultimately snatching a 29-28 victory in the dying moments.
