Our 1st hockey team had the wonderful opportunity to ๐ฑ๐๐๐ ๐ผ๐ณ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฟ๐๐๐ this past Friday afternoon with a friendly match against the 2026 Foundersโ team.
We are sincerely grateful to all the Old Girls and friends of Union who gave so generously of their time and energy to take on our current team. ๐ ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ณ ๐ด๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ต ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ฉ๐ถ๐ด๐ช๐ข๐ด๐ฎ ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฆ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ฎ๐ข๐ต๐ค๐ฉ ๐ฃ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฉ ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ซ๐ฐ๐บ๐ข๐ฃ๐ญ๐ฆ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ท๐ข๐ญ๐ถ๐ข๐ฃ๐ญ๐ฆ.
Our girls rose to the challenge and secured a solid 7-0 win against a formidable side, making it a lovely and encouraging start to the year for our hockey team.
During the prizegiving ceremony at the end of the day’s play, the award for the day’s best defender went to Katelyn Trollip, with the best goal being awarded to Leigh-Ann Murray.
๐๐ข๐ก๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐จ๐๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ก๐ฆ to Kari Stern who received the award for the ‘Most Promising Player’.
A special ๐ช๐ข๐ฅ๐ ๐ข๐ ๐ง๐๐๐ก๐๐ฆ is also extended to Mrs Jennifer Hope for taking the reins with the organisation of the event this year. As well as to all those who assisted her.
