This past weekend,Β Union High School, Graaff-ReinetΒ proudly saw ππ²π» ππ²πΊπΈπ² represent the school in the u/17 boys category at the 5th Biathlon League event held in Gqeberha.
The day kicked off with an exhilarating 800m sprint, where Ben lined up alongside nine other athletes. With an explosive start and a thrilling finish, Ben showcased his talents and claimed a well-deserved second place. Clocking in at an impressive Personal Best time of 2:16.01, he narrowly missed out on first place (2:15.71).
Next on the agenda was the 100m freestyle swim, which took place in the Newton Park Swimming Pool. Ben crossed the finish line in an outstanding time of 1:05.64, finishing just behind the leading time of 1:02.56.
When the final scores were tallied, a total of 2043.78 points saw Ben emerge as the overall champion of the boys u/17 event.
