𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗟 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗘 to Union High School, Graaff-Reinet’s u/13A cricket team who started their season off with a bang in a T20 against Queen’s College Boys’ Primary School this afternoon.
The Union side won the toss and elected to bowl first. The bowlers put on an excellent performance, restricting Queen’s to 103 for 3 in their allotted 20 overs. 𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 and 𝗔𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗮 each claimed a wicket, while 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘇𝗼 contributed with a brilliant run out.
Union’s batting was steady, with 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀 scoring 28 and 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 adding 27 runs. Union chased down the target in the final over, securing a victory by 5 wickets.
