Union High Schoolโ€™s openers put on an impressive 83-run partnership, but the team was eventually bowled out for 112 runs. Lilyfontein won the match by 24 runs.

Sterling High School won the toss and elected to bat first. Union High School bowled them out for 159 runs.

Union High School was then bowled out for 122 runs in their first innings. Sterling High School followed on and declared with a 110-run lead. Due to time constraints, the match was declared a draw.

Union High School won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 136 runs, all out.

In the second innings, Union High School bowled well but unfortunately dropped four high catches, allowing Rand Park to capitalise on missed opportunities. Rand Park went on to win the match by 4 wickets.

Union High School won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 101 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.

๐—ก๐—ผรซ๐—น ๐—ฆ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฒ also added another record to Union’s tally, with a distance of 5.29m in the u13 Boys Long Jump.

The Union learnersโ€™ teamwork, however, shone brightest in the relays.

The schoolโ€™s u12 and u13 Boysโ€™ teams both stormed to victory in their 4ร—100m events, while the u13 Girlsโ€™ team also clinched first place with an excellent 1:01.84 finish – ๐˜ข ๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜จ๐˜ฉ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜จ๐˜ฉ๐˜ต ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ต ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ข๐˜บ.

We’re incredibly proud of all our learners, who, despite the sun beating down on them, never let the heat slow their spirit. Their combined efforts earned the school a strong overall result of 846, just short of Volkskool’s total of 866.

The past weekend saw Union High School’s u11A and u13A cricket teams take on Woodridge College & Preparatory School in a series of fixtures.
