After a hard-fought contest, Daly House claimed top honours with 655 points, followed by Arnott House on 528 points.

Grade 8 Excursion

Our Grade 8s, accompanied by their teachers and prefects, set off early this morning on a memorable ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฌ๐—ธ๐—บ ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ธ๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—–๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐—ผ ๐—ข๐˜‚๐˜๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—˜๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—–๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฒ in the heart of the Camdeboo National Park.

As part of their high school orientation, they are spending the night immersed in nature, rounding off the day with a special dinner, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the park.

Junior Interhouse Athletics Day

Monday, 19 January, saw the Union Schools’ annual ๐—๐—จ๐—ก๐—œ๐—ข๐—ฅ ๐—œ๐—ก๐—ง๐—˜๐—ฅ๐—›๐—ข๐—จ๐—ฆ๐—˜ ๐—”๐—ง๐—›๐—Ÿ๐—˜๐—ง๐—œ๐—–๐—ฆ ๐——๐—”๐—ฌ for Grade 1 to 7 learners being held.

The year-long rivalry between Arnott House (in blue) and Daly House (in red) was kicked off in fine style, as the young athletes gave it their all in various track and field events.

There were many proud moments and shared joy throughout the day, as the learners cheered on their classmates and showcased their athletic abilities.

New Kitchen Matron Of Arthur Kingwill House

We are very pleased to welcome ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜๐—ต๐—ฎ ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜€๐—น๐—ผ๐—ผ to the Union community as the new Head Kitchen Matron of Arthur Kingwill House.

She joins us with a wealth of experience, having previously served as matron of a boarding house at a private school in Bedford.

Samantha and her husband, Fanie, are proud parents to two children – Joshua, 10, who is in Grade 5, and Emily, 13, in Grade 8.
